WHAT THE ?

Ugh. So today is CD 16 and I am not sure if I had a positive OPK or NOT!

Yesterday I took five, yes FIVE tests! I got a smiley face on one and slight, faint lines on the others. But, I tested again at 7pm and I did not get a smiley face.

Today I woke up and took my morning test and I got a darker line on one and a blank circle on the other! I have no idea what is going on or what test to trust!

We did BD last night and probably will again (just in case). My temps are not rising as normal. As a matter of fact today it dropped to 96.80 from 97.45.

I really hope that I get two matching tests soon... if that is even possible!

Here are some photos!

On a side note... if I can get 50 "likes" on "Where the Bleep is Our Stork's?" Facebook page then I will do another give-a-way! We are almost there!

  1. Do you have the clearblue easy monitor? I found that thing to be foolproof! I don't have a uterus or cervix so I really had to rely on the hormone levels to get my Ovulation down for my IVF cycle. If you haven't tried that (one of those test sticks looks like a stick for it though!) give one of those a try!

    1. Hello! A fellow blogger was kind enough to send the Clearblue Digital tester. It is not the big monitor. I have seen those and thought about getting one. I usually use First Response or Clearblue (the line one) but the smiley face ones are way more fun!

    2. If you can borrow a CBE monitor from someone ASAP I definitely would, they are extremely accurate! I just liked your FB page, wishing you the best of luck on your journey!

    3. I might check CL or a private group I am in a see if someone has one... But I am taking fertility meds, so I am not sure how accurate it will be.

  2. A few notes:
The small print in the packaging for the Smiley face test recommends not looking at the lines
My RE told me that about 40% of women can't use OPK tests (I found that out the hard way)
I had much better luck with the Clearblue fertility monitor that tests both estrogen and LH -but sometimes it can't be used with fertility drugs.
Are you doing ultrasounds or other monitoring?
    Sorry this is so frustrating!

  3. I have PCOS so the LH hormone is always in my system (so I am told). OPKs are rather unreliable, but since we saw such a significant change last month we went ahead without the monitoring. Since I use Femara I am not sure the monitor would be a good thing for me. Last night after the 3pm test I did notice a lot of AF like uterine cramping. A sign of ovulation for PCOSers (I've read). So we will see. I will test again. I don't normally take the stick out and check- I trust the smiley or no smiley. ;-)

  4. I had no idea some people can't use these, I have only tried some online cheap ones one time and they seemed to work BUT we had a BFN this month so maybe not? lol I will try again this month and see what happens.

  5. Sorry for the frustration. I guess when in doubt, shag! If you can find the energy, that is... :/

And boo to confusing OPKs! That FRER is looking closer, but the smiley face yesterday is really baffling!
