Smile, You Are on Camera

Why test once when you can test twice?
2 for 2!! We have a surge!
Well, my smiley face came yesterday, after my last cycle update post! I had been feeling some ovary pain and experiencing some cervical mucus and so I figured a positive OPK was close; I didn't know it was going be the next day!

Since I never trust these damn sticks, I test my urine with TWO different readers, you know, to either confuse myself even more, or to get a firm confirmation one way or the other. On cycle day 17 I got a confirmation that I was surging! I was happy to see TWO smiley faces. Talk about double happiness!

The ovary pains have been a little more intense and I have been having sort of an upset tummy combined with some back pain, along with a ton of EWCM; both yesterday and today. Speaking of EWCM, Mike hates it. He says something about not being able to feel anything when there is that much. He hated the PreSeed as well. Thankfully, last night was a success and we have a schedule date tonight and tomorrow. Sounds romantic, right!? Ha!

Happy Face

I have no idea why I tested today- but I did.

CD 16 and I have two positive ovulation tests. Once again my body has proven to have no rhyme or reason! Once again, ovulation comes when we least expect it! I mean, the last cycle was 48 days long! In June my positive ovulation test came on CD 28 after a 43 day cycle. Normally I have some signs of ovulation prior to a positive test but, I have only experienced some slight left ovary pain within the last couple days and like always, my CM is not reliable!

Of course, I get a positive test after a sleepless night, a long dental appointment, and a headache. I mean, it would only make sense that we have to BD on the one night when we just want to GO TO SLEEP! Ugh, I am my body is so weird.

On another note, I have been working on a few "thought provoking" (at least for me) blog posts that I've been trying to publish but, I just feel like I lost my writing touch; nothing I write seems to come out the way I want it to; I should have paid more attention in writing class. Maybe one day I will get around to posting them.

Worth The Double Post (If You Ask Me)

I was sitting in my chair working on my "guest blog post" for Aislinn, over at Baby Makin', when I had this strong knot in my left ovary. I jumped up and POAS. Sure enough... it's CD 18, and my bodies cues' were right on target. I have a positive OPK!

At first I started to wish I had FR OPKs, and that I had kept my urine to test again but, then I decided to go with it... no stress. Besides, I bought these digitals so that I didn't have to do the guess work. It is what it is; and today, it's positive!

Even though my cycles are still a tad bit off; they are a ton better than what they used to be. I did have a long cycle last month but ovulation did occur and luteal phase was great. To see ovulation occurring again, in such a timely fashion, is such a great achievement!

If I have eggs, and he has sperm, there is no reason why we shouldn't try for a miracle.

Well, Sh*t!

As you know, I got a smiley face on my OPK five days ago. Ovulation was expected on CD 28, but since my temps didn't rise as quickly as I would have liked, I figured it was a false positive.

We did the deed on the day of the positive test and the next day... but then we had a MAJOR FAIL. We have not bd'd since then, and today, my temp really spiked!

My heart hurts. I am disappointed and annoyed. I have been waiting to ovulate on my own without any sort of fertility medication for a while now, and when I do, we f*ck up the TI. Awesome. Way to go, team. UGH!!!

In case you can't tell, I am extremely frustrated.

CD 27

When I took my temperature this morning there was a slight increase but nothing that made me think this was going to happen...

I woke up feeling fine and then by 9am I had some significant ovary pains on my left side; I have also been having some EWCM off and on for a few days now. But, when I went shopping earlier I could totally feel the pressure on the left side so I decided I would break down and buy more OPKs. Boy, am I glad I did!

I can't believe I ovulated or at least showed a surge on my own with out any fertility meds! I guess you know what we will be doing later....

What a friggin' day!

Ha, What a day!

It started off with a phone call from my boss (we will call her "A") letting me know that she was going to fire our office manager (we will call her "B"); my immediate supervisor.

Let me give you some background.

For the past two weeks "B" has been on 'paid administrative leave' and was under investigation for creating a hostile work environment. There were several complaints regarding her attitude and demeanor from other employees; myself included. I was harassed via text messages for allegedly throwing away post it notes that her daughter drew on. After about the 10the message I called "A" and told her I was not dealing with it. I was ready to quit. I have been dealing with a shitty attitude from"B" for a while. She is rude, snappy, and loves to micro-manage. So, the non-stop messaging tipped me over the edge. "A" told me such was meeting with a HR consultant to figure out how to handle "B" and asked me to "hang in there". That was 2+ weeks ago and the situation has finally been resolved. "B" was fired today.

But, it does not end there!

"A" told me that with the changes she was looking to bring in one person, full time, from 8-5, Monday through Friday, with a lot of billing experience who can work in the mornings doing billing and then switch gears and "man" the front desk for the remainder of the day. She said that she knew I did not want full time. She is sorta right. I took the job at HRA because initially I did not want to work full time. I left APT for a lighter schedule and a higher wage. But, since I made that transition we have noticed that money is tighter than we would like it to be. So, I told "A" that I was willing to work that shift for her. I don't want to lose my job. She said "thanks for letting me know." I did ask her if she was replacing me as well and she said she has to see what she needs as far as abilities and experience. Huh? I billed 300 claims a week, ran front desk, and kept up on "housekeeping" for 8 physical therapist! I think I can bill 70 claims a week for 4 acupuncturist!  But, whatever (yes, I am tad bitter). I guess I just have to wait and see what she decides.

Which  brings me to my next event of the day...

Since I thought "B" might be sticking around I started applying for new jobs. Today I had an invitation to attend a "group interview" for a naturalpathic doctor in town. When I got there I was notified that "B" was going to be there too! The woman who put the interview together, Layla, is also a patient of  "A's" and knows "B" from the office. What are the fucking odds? Anyway, "B" and I sat next to each other with the interviewing doctor between us. It was too close for comfort! Group interviews suck by the way and this made it that much worse. However, I made it through, thank God. They said they will call by the end of the week for private interviews. I just want to add that there were 80 resumes submitted and only 8 invited for the interview!

THEN.... Just now...

I am at home, writing this blog, and I got a message from "A" telling me that "B" has been sending unpleasant text messages to other employees. She asked me to ignore her, save any messages and let her know asap. She said she apologizes for dragging me into this drama and she said that she appreciates me being in the office right now.

When I came back into my computer I noticed I had an "alert" on my FB page. Guess what?! "B" friend requested me! She then followed that up with a text saying..." Fuck you. All I needed was job to take care of my kid. Ruthless." Oh my.

Ok, so lets move on now to my last un event of the day. I took more OPKs today and these were the results. There were 3 but the CB did not have a smiley face so it is photo shy.
Top: CD 15 morning- Middle: CD16 morning- Bottom: CD 16 afternoon
So let me ask you... WHAT day do I call OVULATION!?

WHAT THE ?

Ugh. So today is CD 16 and I am not sure if I had a positive OPK or NOT!

Yesterday I took five, yes FIVE tests! I got a smiley face on one and slight, faint lines on the others. But, I tested again at 7pm and I did not get a smiley face.

Today I woke up and took my morning test and I got a darker line on one and a blank circle on the other! I have no idea what is going on or what test to trust!

We did BD last night and probably will again (just in case). My temps are not rising as normal. As a matter of fact today it dropped to 96.80 from 97.45.

I really hope that I get two matching tests soon... if that is even possible!

Here are some photos!

On a side note... if I can get 50 "likes" on "Where the Bleep is Our Stork's?" Facebook page then I will do another give-a-way! We are almost there!

Sunday Funday!

Happy Sunday Funday! I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine started off a bit shaky since I had to do taxes- but it has ended nicely!

We just got back from watching 'Silver Linings Playbook'. It was a great movie and we both really enjoyed it. It was a toss up between that and 'Snitch'. When I got home I took an OPK. Okay, so I lied; I took two.
Three for the day.
CD 15 (top: morning test, middle and bottom: afternoon test)
I am so confused by the test results.

The top test was taken early this morning and there seems to be a slight line visible. Then, this afternoon I got a smiley face on the Clearblue. This is my first time ever using the "smiley face" brand, thanks to AMBER! You can imagine my excitement when I saw it! It is so much easier than trying to match up line colors.

But, what I don't understand is why I got a practically non-existing line on the First Response test using the SAME urine!? I am not sure if I left one test in the urine cup longer than I should have or what... it just seems so odd. I wonder if I should test again tonight or just say "heck with it", BD, and test again tomorrow!?

My temp dropped the other day but was higher again this morning and I don't really notice CM. I am having slight ovary pains and felt some fluttering this morning....

What are your thoughts, lovely followers?

UPDATE: I took two more test (yes, that makes 5 for the day) and I did NOT get a smiley face! WTH? We will BD still...  just in case!

Let the 2WW begin

I can officially stop testing OPKs! Thank goodness. I am sure people are tired of seeing my results! I had a positive LH surge CD 15 and CD16 (I think).

Tell me if you can see it.

So, I guess we can consider today DPO#1. I did test this morning (CD17) and there was a line, but, by the afternoon test you can see the line diminish. So, now we are on to the next step. The wait. Ugh. I think everyone I know HATES the 2WW!

Lets hope that I score BIG on my progesterone test on the 1st!

What are somethings you do to pass the time during the dreadful 2WW? I'd love to hear from you!

Winner!

"How you doin'"?
It is CD 15 today and my OPK tested positive today (and I have the CM to go with it!). I was ready to throw in the towel because I am an impatient ass. So you can only imagine what joy I felt when I saw that nice, strong, dark line this afternoon! I actually skipped! When I talked to the receptionist at my RE's office I told her "You would think I tested positive for pregnancy by the way I feel!" She laughed. The RN said "Congratulations! That is a positive! (I sent her an email with a photo of my OPK) Now, the important thing is to have intercourse tonight, tomorrow and the next day." I said, "Oh,  we can do that!". Ha ha! Blood work is scheduled for the 1st (Cd 21) to see how "well" I ovulated!

I am kind of excited, nervous, proud and shocked all at the same time! To most people ovulation is no big deal. Shit, half the time women I know don't even know what to look for when it comes to ovulation! Take my sister for example (I love you sis...) she thought that you ovulated for DAYS! I have another friend who inquires about my infertility stuff and she just goes blank when I talk about follicles, progesterone, or ovaries; she has no idea what any of it means, yet she is a mother to an adorable little baby!

So, yeah, today is CD 15 and I had a positive LH surge! This is my first attempt at TTC since stopping BCP 4 weeks ago. I am not counting on ending this attempt with a positive pregnancy test, but I am not counting it out either! My RN said it can happen, especially in women with PCOS. I am not thinking too far ahead... I am just gonna ENJOY this positive OPK and hope for the best!

Happy Friday!
